Learning more about epi

 

The study of epi (the more familiar name for the field) is a multi-disciplinary endeavor that involves knowledge of biology, statistics, geography, sociology, genetics, and many other topics.  Epidemiologists use observational studies to describe the association of specific exposures with disease events.  They seek to evaluate the occurrence, or incidence, of disease as it is influenced by person, place, and time.  The internet offers many excellent introductory lectures such as:
