Outstanding Contributions to Epidemiology Methods Award

Call For Nominations

 

The American College of Epidemiology invites nominations for the Outstanding Contributions to Epidemiology Methods Award.

This award is to provide special recognition to an active epidemiologist methodologist who has made an outstanding contribution to the peer reviewed epidemiology literature with an article or series of methods articles which have advanced epidemiological methods to better understand epidemiological phenomena. The award will be made by the chairperson of the awards committee at the annual meeting and the recipient will be invited to make a scientific presentation of the work to the College. The award will be made in 2009 and at three year intervals thereafter. If a qualified recipient is not identified by the awards committee the award will not be made in that year.


Please submit a letter stating the special qualifications and contributions of the candidate to excellence in epidemiology. A copy of the candidate's curriculum vitae must also be enclosed. The deadline for receipt of nominations for the 2010 Award is March 31, 2009 .

The award is conferred each year at the Annual Meeting in 2009.
