Congress of Epidemiology 2006 invites submissions for the
2006 student prize paper awards. The prizes will recognize
outstanding scientific contributions by students of Epidemiology.
Students undertaking doctoral training in Epidemiology are
invited to submit a paper, as are students with a doctoral
degree in a field relevant to Epidemiology who are undertaking
formal training in Epidemiology of at least one year's duration,
equivalent to a master of science degree. To be eligible,
students must be in training or within one year of completion
of training at the time of the submission deadline. |
The submitted paper should contain
the findings of original research conducted
by the student during training
and should be suitable for publication,
papers may be sole-authored or coauthored.
If co-authored, the student
should be the lead author and the
student's academic advisor must
provide a letter documenting the roles
of the student and the co-authors.
Awards will be made to the three best
papers submitted. The first place winner
will be invited to present the paper at
the meeting of the congress in Seattle,
Washington, June 21-24, 2006. Financial
assistance will be provided to attend
the meeting, and there will also be a
cash award of $600. The second and
third place winners will receive cash
awards of $400 and $200 respectively.
The deadline for receipt of paper
submissions is February 17, 2006.
